  • Halloween Street Parties!

    May 21, 2008 – 7:42 am

After experiencing this massive street festival-like Halloween night, where everyone simply walked in their costumes (the streets really were flooded!) and I got to see all of the outrageous and innovated costumes, it got me thinking of what my costume might be next year (that year I did not dress up). So randomly today, I looked up for Halloween costumes, and came across this site
There is a huge variety like adult Halloween costumes, kids and baby costumes, sexy costumes (think those revealing outfits with cat ears, bunny ears, or any kind of animal’s ear attached to a headband.), pirate costumes, star wars, and it just goes on. Then there are the hilarious couples costume, one of my favorites, the plug and socket set. There is a certain implications to matching the plug and the socket that may be a little inappropriate, but awesome nonetheless. For myself, I was thinking of one of those fury mascot costumes. You can act silly and you won’t be noticed! It also feels nice to be hidden under that costume, and it is easier to pretend you are not yourself (ie get more into ‘character’) when you are surrounded by it. I am personally a fan of penguins, and was delighted to see my favorite animal available as a full suit costume. The penguin mascot unfortunately is not available, but the great thing about this site is the option of getting an email notice when they have more available. There are always new costumes coming in as well, so you won’t get bored with the same costumes over and over.

There is also a secret back door entrance to a ‘haunted house’ which could get you great discounts! If you look at the main web page, there is a line reading “Our Store now has over 8,000 masquerade items for you to choose from!” on the right halfway down the page. Carefully hover your mouse cursor over it and see if you notice anything…you might just find yourself getting some discounts.
